For being away for so long. I meant to post an explanation, then I forgot, and kept forgetting…well, you know. Anyway, Tim and I just moved to a GINORMOUS new apartment, so that was the reason for my absence. Things are finally starting to come together.

This is my new “baking station”. Our new kitchen is literally about 3 times bigger than the old one, so we found ourselves with an abundance of cabinets and countertops. I made this little area my new place to bake. It has a ton of cabinets, and an outlet to plug in my Kitchenaid mixer. Now I can bake more!

On the right is my NEW cupcake bag, made by the incredibly talented Laurel. On the left is a growler of Oktoberfest beer I purchased from Rock Bottom, my favorite chain restaurant that is conveniently within walking distance of the new place. Try the pretzel. You’ll thank me.

I had the bright idea to make marble magnets for my wedding shower favor. I guess I felt bad that my mom and bridesmaids were doing all the work and I was to reap all the benefits. So I took this project on. They’re not hard, just annoying. The glue gets everywhere, and the magnets are really dirty for some reason. This results in little dirty glueballs which stick to everything. (That’s actually what’s on the tablecloth, not dirt. My house is not dirty, trust me.)
Eventually, the magnets will look like this:

I think they’re cute. Hopefully my guests will too!

Jill asked me to make her a scarf, oh, about a hundred years ago. The picture doesn’t show the real color, it’s an olive green. Paton’s Classic Wool Merino.

16th Street Sports Bar. Where I am 3rd place trivia champion yet again. GO MCLOVIN!

Like when I come across something in our collection like this little gem. This is from approximately 1964. I found this and couldn’t stop laughing.

Look at his face! He is too cool for school.

Awww, now he’s sad. Shouldn’t have dropped out, pal.

If you would’ve graduated and went to college, you could make $155/week like this smiling face!
And I’ve got answers. Hopefully.
ModB1rd wanted to know if our new apartment has a view. Sadly, no. Unless you count the parking lot, which I don’t. But it does have a gas stove, which I’ll take over the view.
CJ wants to know how the Rally Cap Ale tastes. Hmmm, it’s a light flavor. I guess it is similar to Summer Ale. Maybe I need to start drinking this during Sox games.

And I like Diane. So when she asked for more cactus pictures, I was more than happy to oblige. Since I walk past them everyday. In the background you can see the Arizona House of Representatives.

Bet you can’t guess who Wally is the mascot for. Here’s hoping that Wally does his job better, and the Sox quit sucking ass. Ugh…

This one sits outside my office. It holds shelflist cards for the Arizona State Library State Publications collection. But only up til the mid-90s when the online catalog was purchased. Fascinating!
